3mar2015 - Dear Concerned Find-A-Gave Contributors and visitors,
Regarding: DUPLICATE MEMORIALS in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia
A former large volume F-A-G Contributor had a dispute with Find-A-Grave staff and Deleted some 80% or more, of their contributed memorials, estimated to be about 40,000 or so. Thus causing the rest of us local Contributors, over the last year or more, to re-enter those family, friends and distant relatives we noted were missing.
Once F-A-G had decided to take positive action, they reloaded all the Deleted memorials from that former F-A-G Contributor, on Wednesday, 25feb2015. F-A-G staff, undoubtedly knew they would cause tens of thousands of Duplicates, and assigned their staffer, known as 'ProjectMgr' to work through their Merge process.
Please be patient and allow F-A-G to work through the entire group of Duplicate memorials.
Thank you.

2sep16 - Sincere Thanks is given to Contributor John Stoutimore for his toilsome contribution of the original Copied, Pasted, edited and compiled obituaries, marriage notices and other pertinent publicly printed news data from various sources which he kindly posted to thousands of memorials across this nation; for which F-A-G has soundly reprimanded him for.

My primary Find-A-Grave foci are the following cemeteries for which I clip Death Notices:
-ANC - Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington,Va
-CG - Columbia Gardens Cemetery, Arlington, Va
-MC - Merrifield Cemetery, Falls Church, Va
-NMP - National Memorial Park, Falls Church, Va
-OC - Oakwood Cemetery, Falls Church, Va
-QNC - Quantico National Cemetery, Pr Wm Co, Va
Anyone having interest in ANC & QNC, primarily, that would like to add memorials and/or death notice data, I have been amassing them since I joined FAG and could use your help. Just send me an e-mail indicating your focus and I'll arrange as many as you would like to handle and mail/deliver them to you. Thank you in advance for your consideration. Special Note: Due to several prolific FAG Contributors, most of the Death Notices I have clipped have been memorialized with only the basics: name, dates and cemetery data. Many of the DNs have relatives, living and predeceased, plus biographical data that are truly worthly of posting, and Linking. This type of enhancement requires submitting the data to the original Contributor or transfer of the memorial to other caring Contributors willing to do this further step. My sincere thanks to those who have offered to assist me in the past.
To all those wonderful people who add photos, provide link data, etc, and those who simply offer 'flowers' to any of my memorials, I humbly Thank You on behalf of those who have passed on.

Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you. - Author Unknown
