Bio

IF I have personally transcribed a grave for HIGHLAND Cemetery, I have physically seen the GRAVE.

While being a thorough researcher on Shonkwiler, I tend to think outside of the box.

Variations I go through to find the name

Sharkwiler
Shokwiler
Bhonkwiler
Rhonkwiler
Shonkwillen
Shonkwller
Shonkwiiler
Shonkwilen
Shunkwiler
Skonkwiler
Shonkwjler
Shonkwfler
Shonkwilor
Shenkwilor
Shenkwiler
Slionkwiler
Shonkvviler
Shnnkwiler
Shookwiler

These are my most common, you need to think about what the OCR sees, and then flip it on its head. Mind you I use upwards of a dozen newspaper sites. And in some cases I will look page by page if I think the name can be found, but not picked up the OCR. That is also something to think about. However, this name gets misspelled a lot, so that is also why I do the variations. Just cause you search newspapers online and find nothing be aware not every word gets picked up correctly on scanners.

IDA SHONKWILER'S
there are 3
Ida Shonkwiler "Kirmse" daughter of Benjamin F Shonkwiler
Ida Shonkwiler "Dortch" daughter of Nathaniel Shonkwiler son of Daniel Sr.
and Ida Shonkwiler "Stovall" daughter of William and Mary Jane Moore Shonkwiler.

it took me months to sort these Ida's out and still people have confusion over them. Step carefully do not confuse them all
