Janet Allison LaMotte,
See American Genealogical-Biographiical Master Index (ancestry.com) for my published biographies, awards, achievements and work history.
I am retired and enjoy working on genealogy as a hobby. I have a masters degree from the University of Oklahoma.
www.findagrave.com is a terrific web site.
My ancestors include but are not limited to:
Allison, Campbell, Morris, Johnson, Holdsworth, Baird, Kirkpatrick, Phillippi, Worley, Sweeney, Vaught, Watson, Dale, Wheeler, Hoyt, Newman
I make an effort to connect husbands, wives and families using obituaries and census records.
Present or Past Member: Oklahoma Historical Society, National Trust for Historic Preservation, American Battlefields Trust, Friends of Mt Vernon, National Women's History Museum, Pulaski Co KY Historical Society, Morrow Co OH Genealogical Society, Osborne Co KS Historical Society, Logan Co OK Genealogical Society.
Use the "Suggest a Correction" feature on the appropriate memorial to submit information or any requests. I follow the Find-A-Grave guidelines regarding the transfer of memorials. Any transfer requests should only be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
If you send a request for transfer of a memorial, please explain exactly how you descend, generation-by-generation, from that person.
My photos may be used in your family trees. They are not to be used in cemetery books/CDs that are to be sold.
Findagrave.com photo, obituary & death certificate policy:
Since the move to Ancestry in 2013 and the new website, newspaper obituaries, death certificates and other scanned documentation is allowed. We encourage members to move the images down to the bottom of the photo display so that they are not the first thing you see when viewing a memorial page.
