My paternal grandparents did a lot of genealogy work back when you had to travel to obtain most of the information. They left our family and a lot of families a lot richer. I now have the records Alma Sophie Lorch Fiscus and Jacob Joseph Aloysius Fiscus left. If anyone has made use of what has been referred to as "The Fiscus Papers" you have been touched by their work. They worked on genealogy of Michael Scheidemantel (We have had a yearly reunion since 1907),Fiscus, Lorch, and they had started on Gunsallus. I am working to place information and pictures on Find A Grave and Ancestry. I am trying to make sure the information and whatever I am able to find to add to it will never be lost to future generations. Having lost a granddaughter, Clara Dawn Crupe, and a son, Russell Lee Crupe Jr., I understand the importance of keeping memories alive. I am also honoring our veterans (our son was in Iraq and lost his battle with PTSD) by trying to make sure their information is honored. If I filled a photo request for you I would appreciate if you would list who it was and which cemetery and even telling where you live gives me an idea of how far this information is traveling.
