I have been researching the family history of the Stirewalts, Caspers and Collins on and off for the past 35 years.

I am doing bios and links on all the North Carolina Stirewalts one cemetery at a time. I am currently working on CAROLINA MEMORIAL PARK in Concord, NC.

We are all related through our two Grandfathers Johannes (John) and Peter Stigerwaldt. The two brothers arrived in Philadelphia from Germany on 9/26/1749. In 1773 they made their way to Rowan County, North Carolina, changing their name to Stirewalt. Between 1810 & 1820 most of Peter's clan left for the free land in Indiana. Changing their name to Stierwalt.

I live in Mount Pleasant,NC and will be glad to share any information I have on our family.
