Back at work full time, as tech coordinator for our local school and loving it!
Please follow all rules of FAG! If you ignore the rules, I will ignore your request!
I will not link the memorials I created to unknown burials.
Please do not send me information from US Census to be placed in their bio section. I will not place this in the bio section of the memorial. It is not their biography.
A new trick in getting around burial unknowns appears to create a cemetery based only little or no knowledge and place the unknown in that cemetery. People will do anything to get credit for a memorial. Why have Findagrave if you know not where the cemetery is? Findagrave means exactly that. Here is the grave. I have several ancestors that I know are buried in a general area, but I refuse to create a cemetery and place them in it, until the cemetery is actually found. This new trick/practice is so lame.
I do not deliberately create a duplicate, However I have found, with proof, that backdating is occurring, so from this point on, please refer all duplicates that you believe I have created to FAG admins and they will know if backdating has occurred and will delete or merge the two memorials. (all notifications of assumed duplicates will be ignored.) Keep in mind one has 30 days to place in correct cemetery once logged as an unknown burial. When not done so, the one in cemetery will be the original. It states this in the rules. I do a thorough search before creating any memorial. I can't control it when someone places the surname Smith (and only Smith) as a memorial and then later go back and change the name to whoever and and move it into a cemetery. That is one way it is called backdating. Sad people are doing this.
Do not add obit photos to memorials I create. Obit photos are against FAG rules unless you made the photo yourself. If this was not the case, I would have placed the photos on myself. Thank you in advance!
Please ask before using my photos. You may do this by using the edit tab on any memorial I have created.
Be nice or I will ignore!
