EDITS: If you need edits to a memorial I have created:
PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!
** POST DOCUMENTATION ON THE MEMORIAL AS A PHOTO***
********* THAT SUPPORTS THE INFORMATION*****************

Please do not send links to Ancestry to verify information, especially if it's a member's family tree. I have found SO MANY mistakes in Ancestry family trees. I don't belong to Ancestry so all that happens when you send a link from Ancestry is that it brings up an option to join.
To all those that add documentation to my memorials, THANK YOU! I truly appreciate the efforts you have put forth to do so. It helps everyone!
It has been said that "Genealogy without documentation is mythology." (THANK YOU SUSAN!!) If no documentation is provided to verify information in your edits, it may be declined until the information can be confirmed.
TRANSFERS:
I don't feel the need to have ownership of memorials of all my relatives transferred to me just because they are related to me. I'm not a collector. The memorials that I do keep are special to me. If you would like to manage one of the memorials I have created, please, just ask.
DEATH CERTIFICATES:
I have no objections to anyone posting death certificates to any of my memorials. It never ceases to amaze me how many people visit or create memorials for deceased people but balk at having a picture of a piece of paper that says someone has died.
My favorite epitaphs:
John Wayne (Marion Michael Morrison):
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life
Comes into us at midnight very clean
It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands,
It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.
Godfrey Beamguard:
Adieu all both far and near, my loving wife and children, For my immortal soul has fled, I now lie numbered with the dead. Remember friends as you pass by, As you are now, so once was I, As I am now, so you must be, Prepare for death and follow me."
Please be kind to each other. It's the one thing we can do that doesn't cost anything, but can also reap so many benefits!
