Updated: 3 February 2022:
My internet has been out since 16 January, and has now just come back on (3:45 PM on 3 February). I am way behind. Manual edits may take longer, and I'm working as fast as I can on a very slow internet connection, so please have patience. Thanks!
My father died on 8 April after having a severe stroke in mid-March. I'll be on the site when I can, but I'm extremely busy.
I am still having trouble with my eyes, and it's making things difficult. I work on the computer when my eyes can tolerate it. I am still trying to get caught up with my edits. Thanks for your understanding. It will be slow going for awhile, so please be patient.
Am having trouble with my modem, so that's slowing things down even more.
Am still waiting for my new glasses after successful eye surgery in August and October of 2017. I can see the computer fine, but still cannot read anything up close.
My yearly check-up for cancer came out well, but I am still not feeling 100%. In December 2016 and January 2017, I had surgery on my shoulder, and am still recovering from that as well.
My Mother died on June 4, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. (Thanks to Christina for sponsoring Mom's memorial page.)
I am also having internet connection problems (intermittently), so corrections will get done as soon as I am able, but within the allowed time limits.
Been "graving" since I was a child...and researching my genealogy for over 40 years.
I have been dealing with chronic health issues for many years, and I am always playing "catch up." I try and do the best I can. If I post a photo to one of your memorials, and you are not satisfied, feel free to submit a photo request and wait for another graver to fill it.
I DO NOT link to "Burial Unknowns." This is a "final disposition information" site, not a genealogy site, and I will not link to any burial listed as Unknown.Per administrator Mark (9/21/2012):
"Admins won't knowingly link any memorial to a memorial of unknown disposition. We should not expect you to link them either."
And, please do not post death certificates on my memorials. Per Senior Curator of Archives and Senior Administrator A.J. (June 30, 2016):
"Regarding death certificates, keep in mind that many Find a Grave members do not like them posted on memorials that they have created. It is best to post death certificates only to your own memorials."
When requesting transfers, submitting corrections, etc., PLEASE use the EDIT tab. That way, I get all the links and can do them easily. If requesting a transfer, PLEASE state the relationship to the person you are requesting. I do out-of-guideline transfers on a case-by-case basis.
