Bio

I was adopted at birth.I am one of eight biological, maternal siblings. I am the eldest of six of the eight that were put up for adoption at birth. My late biological mother kept and raised her first two children, whom shared one father. Both my older brother and sister have since passed. The remaining six of us adoptees, each had different birth fathers. In birth order, I am number three and there is an eight year span between myself and number eight. I am more than happy to assist other adoptees with their searches...In November of 2017, I activated a 23andMe kit to gain an understanding of my medical background. Unbeknownst to me, my younger 1/2 brother also activated a 23andMe kit the same week. Two months later, we both received our results on the same day and found out..... we knew the same people; went to some of the same events; lived and still live 12 minutes apart and had a younger 1/2 sister we needed to find. One, very long month later, our 1/2 sister logged back into her 23andMe account and told us her story... and ours. She had been looking for us for over 25 years! She had a lot of information about our biological roots and photos of our bio-family. And for me, finding four more paternal 1/2 siblings, two older sisters, an older brother and a younger brother. And a special find, a cousin who was in my high school class and we never knew we were related until a chance connection on Ancestry.com. There are no secrets here. My journey continues...
