****NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ERRORS PERTAINING TO MEMORIALS I HAVE EITHER BEEN ENTRUSTED WITH OR BY MEMORIALS I HAVE TAKEN MANAGEMENT OF BEFORE I GET A CHANCE TO GO THROUGH THEM.****
*As of October 17, 2021, I'm now finding numerous errors in the cemeteries of Lerch and Eagle Creek Cemetery ~ both located in Knox, Starke County, IN. Several memorials created by Jackie & Ralph were placed in Lerch Cemetery when they really belong in Eagle Creek according to death certificates and obituaries. One or two errors, fine, but when entire families are placed in Lerch rather than Eagle Creek ~ sad. My advice to other contributors who have taken management or have been given memorials by Jackie & Ralph is to check and recheck the burial locations by way of death certificates, obituaries, call the cemetery if possible, the church for the cemetery if available. Make sure your loved ones are placed in the correct cemeteries.
As of April 2021, I've been finding numerous errors on memorials that I have taken management of, created by Jackie & Ralph -- Many duplicates and on numerous memorials they have entered information on, they have created memorials in other cemeteries for the same people. It's like they took too many photos and forgot where they were taken and were guessing on which cemetery to place them in. It seems to be an endless task as of now trying to get these dupes merged and proving their mistakes. This is a labor of love in correcting so many errors.* The most errors SO FAR have occurred between the two cemeteries in Kouts ~ Graceland Township Cemetery and St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.* I am sickened by so many careless errors!! As rude as they were about correct memorials and "following the guidelines".... Hypocrites!! People should be remembered and honored with correct information, not haphazardly trying to make the most memorials before anyone else. I never did understand that. It's ridiculous. This isn't a contest folks. No one's getting out of here alive. Please take care when you create memorials. I'm now making extra sure the ones I create aren't already on the site.
I enjoy walking through cemeteries. I find peace and solace in some ways, and in others, I wonder...wonder who each person was. What did they enjoy about their lives? Did they have children? What happened? What's each individual story? I love researching and sharing their stories. Whether it be from pictures I've obtained through family members, friends, or newspaper clippings, each and every life matters. Each person resting in a cemetery has a story tell. We're their voices now. It's our job to keep their memories alive and relevant. History should be shared, not overlooked and forgotten.
Many of the memorials I've created or maintain are connected to me and my family in some way. There are also quite a few memorials that I have taken management of that need some TLC. Many need to be linked to their family members, etc. IMO, it's only fitting that even in death, simply remembered by a memorial, they should be linked to their family members, as they were in life.
If you have suggestions, edits or transfer requests, please use the edit tab. I ask that you be kind and courteous. Rude people are a total turnoff and will be treated as such. I've "met" many wonderful people on this site, and yet, there are those that are an ugly exception.
