I'm Don McAllister, a lifelong Hoosier and a member of the McAllister, Burke, Dorsey, Abel, Wilson, Haywood, McCoy, Smith, and Prieshoff families.
In 2001 I helped to found the National Veterans Historical Archive (www.nvharchive.org) to record the life histories of our Veterans.
I am also the author of four novels, Angel and the Ivory Tower, The Pencil Man, The Art of Freezing Pickles, and Satchel at the Second Chance (see www.angelivory.com).
I sometimes add a memorial to which I am not personally connected. I'm a nice guy. Feel free to ask for a transfer if you wish. I would like to keep the memorials that are related to my family.
I'll add a special note of thanks to everyone who creates the memorials. I've taken several photos of graves I thought might not have a memorial and am always thankful to find a memorial already set up and waiting for the photo. This sharing of the labor makes the job lighter and is very much appreciated.
