Bio

I began my research in 1977. I loved hearing about my family from my Granny who was from Jefferson Co., Ms.; my grandfather was from Copiah Co., Ms.She would invite us over when someone came to her house in Texas from Mississippi. I remembered the surnames; FURR, SMITH, PIERCE, SAXON and CALLENDER to name a few. I listened to her stories. When I began my research, she was still alive. I went back to Texas & visited her. My cousin Carl Pierce & I recorded her life story in 1979. We went through a box of old photos. All grandmother's have boxes of old photos! She was an inspiration. I will be forever grateful. She died in 1985 at age 98. I visit my families' cemeteries and take photos when I can. One eventful trip to Mississippi in 2001 was very productive.

My maternal grandmother was of Spanish & Cajun families from Louisiana. Among those surnames are MIGUEZ, ROMERO, AMY, BROUSSARD, LOIGNON, ETIE & DARTES. She lived until 1995 & also died at age 98. She wrote and told me much as well. She married TURNER & FREDERICK, so those surnames also.

Lately, I have been prompted to post the additional grave locations of my deceased husband whose family surnames are KELLY, GREEN, GILSTRAP, ADCOX, LOCKABY & SHERIFF; all being from the Pickens County area of South Carolina.

My current spouse's names are among my newest include:ROYCE,ALEXANDER,CHALFANT,CASE,DOYLE,
BLASKA & GRIFFIN. Those families were from Minnesota, Iowa, Ohio, Connecticut, New Hampshire & Tennessee & Mississippi.

Most of the memorials you see are my ancestors. Please feel free to email me with any corrections. My goal is to leave a lasting legacy for future generations by passing on accurate information. You may copy any photos I contributed here to share with your family. If related to me; contact me. I have a large database with all my relatives in it. Over 30,000+.

My heartfelt appreciation to those who have created memorials or taken pictures of my family members.
