Bio
I was born on Aug. 1, 1937 in Marysville, Yuba Co., CA. to James (Jim) Edward Hammons and Alice (Lassie)Jane Ernst. I was raised by my Daddy Jim's wonderful parents, James LEE and Ruth Schooler Hammons. Because of their ages and strong family ties, I learned a lot about my family histories. I was raised to respect my ancestors. I hope that I am giving back just a little by posting to Find a Grave.
I have been married for 52 years to my wonderful husband,Roy Lee (R.L.) Davis, (this is us many years ago)...we have had 4 children, Dalton Lee, Rachel Melody, Denver Kory and Charm Mae. As you know, our son Dalton passed in 1989. Son Kory has stage 4 Melanoma. He has been in remission for about 8 years. Please continue to pray for him.
This picture was taken not to long after Dalton passed. Grandson Chance had also left us.
We have had 9 Grandchildren: Brandon Robert, Dane Ryan, Chelsea Ruth-Leigh, Chance Ragan, Cash Lee Dalton , Shea Kory, Jessica Aaron, Hayley Aleese and Morgann Chadahn. Chance died of a heart defect at age 7 months in 1981. He weighed just 7 lbs. It was a 7 month battle of surgeries, doctors and tests and a very emotional time for us. Because it is still so painful for her, my daughter, Melody ask that he not be listed on FAG.
We also have 6 great grandchildren, Dylan Dane Ryan, Ryder Lawrence, Shelby Lynn, Brody Ragan and Riley Christian and our newest addition, Corey Kahne.
We would like to thank everyone who visits our son, Dalton Lee Davis, and foster daughter, Jodi Lynne Smith and all our loved ones that are waiting for us in heaven. Your flowers and notes are a joy to receive. I am unable to walk the cemeteries now so I can't volunteer to photograph headstones. I hope my sponsoring and leaving flowers will make up for it.
Special thanks to the angels who have sponsored some of my loved ones.
My favorite thing to do on Find a Grave is to leave flowers when a person has none.
My pet peeve is finding whole cemeteries listed but not one flower left by that person for any of the graves. Everyone deserves at least one flower. Also, Listers that will NOT release your family members into your care. That is so petty and rude.
God bless you all.
