Benjamin Franklin "Ben" son of John Pinkney Emory and Harriett Keziah "Kessie" Buckner Emory, May 7, 1921, Grainger County, Tennessee, Married Nettie Lou Collette, daughter of Robert Collette and Mattie McGoldrick Collette.

Benjamin Franklin Emory, 65, of Rt. 2 Weaverville, collapsed shortly after 9pm Wednesday while attending a wrestling match at the Asheville City Auditorium. He was pronounced dead at Memorial Mission Hospital at 9:20.

Mr. Emory was a native of Buncombe County. He was a retired farmer and member of Ivy Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nettie Lou Collette Emory, three daughters; Harriet Emory King and Opal Emory Styles of Weaverville, and Bobby Jean Emory Bryan of Duncanville, Pennsylvania, four sons; J. R. Emory of West Asheville, Bill Emory of Horse Shoe, and Charles Emory and Jackie of Weaverville; four brothers, Jeff Emory, Wilburn Emory and Woodson Emory all of Weaverville and Furman of Barnardville, and two sister; Esta Emory Deaver of Asheville and Pansy Emory Garrison of Weaverville.

Burial at Ivy Hill Cemetery, Buncombe County, North Carolina.
