Daughter of John Pinkney Emory and Harriett Keziah "Kessie" Buckner, married Stephen Blaine Deaver, Sr. on January 8, 1911, Ivy Hill, Buncombe County, North Carolina.
Esta Virginia Emory Deaver, of 440 Weaverville Highway, Asheville, died Monday at her residence.
A native of Buncombe County, she was the operator of Coast in Service Station. She was the daughter of the late John Pinkney Emory and Harriett Keziah Buckner Emory and was the wife of Steven Blaine Deaver, Sr. who died in 1949, and three children, John Bergen Deaver, Geneva Deaver Young and Edith Virginia Deaver.
Surviving are a son Stephen Blaine Deaver, Jr. of Asheville; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30pm Thursday in Ivy Hill Baptist Church of which she was a member. Rev. Worth Emory, Rev. Ebb Jenkins and Rev. Harry Culbertson, Jr. will officiate.
Burial will follow at West Memorial Park, Weaverville, Buncombe County, North Carolina.
