Arnold Glenn Emory, 48, of 8 Green Hill Road, West Asheville, died of a heart attack about 4 a.m. today, January 2, 1958, while on the job at American Enka Corporation. He was employed in the finishing department, and had worked for the firm for some 16 years.
He was a son of the late John Pinkney Emory and Harriett Keziah Buckner Emory. His oldest brother Lee, died on November 21, 1957.
Arnold was a member of the Ivy Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Dorothy Evelyn Hampton Emory, one son, Bruce Hampton Emory of Asheville, North Carolina, two sisters; Mrs. Esta Emory Deaver, and Mrs. Pansy Garrison both of Asheville, North Carolina, five brothers; Furman Emory of Barnardsville, North Carolina, Jeff Emory, Wilburn Emory and Ben Emory all of Weaverville, North Carolina, and Woodson Emory of Mars Hill, North Carolina.
Arrangements are under direction of Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
