Broadus LEE Emory, son of the late John Pinkney Emory and Harriett Keziah "Kessie" Buckner Emory, married Cora Matilda Gibbs, daughter of Henry Lee Gibbs and Louise Ellen Carter Gibbs on August 30, 1913, in Mars Hill, Madison County, North Carolina, at the home of Rev. William Bradley.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Cora Matilda Gibbs Emory; two sons, Blaine (Amy) Emory and John Lee (Joyce) Emory both of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina; two sisters, Esta Virginia Emory Deaver, and Pansy Delora Emory Garrison, (Carl), of Asheville, North Carolina; six brothers, Ben F. Emory (Nettie), Wilburn L. Emory (Lillian), Squire Jefferson "Jeff" Emory (Effie), Woodson J. Emory (Flossie) of Weaverville, North Carolina; R. Furman Emory (Martha) and Arnold G. Emory (Dorothy) of West Asheville, North Carolina; and two grandchildren, Lorraine Emory, and Herbert Lee Emory of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina.

Lee was a member of the Ivy Hill Baptist Church.

Lee was a farmer and had been a Deputy Sheriff.

Funeral services will be held at Two P. M. at the Ivy Hill Baptist Church, Ivy Hill, Buncombe County, North Carolina. The Revs Ed Shelton, A. J. Buckner and Loyd Ponder will officiate. Burial will follow at the Ivy Hill Cemetery.
Nephews will be pallbearers and nieces will be flower bearers.
