Parents of 8 Children:
Wilburn Emory, 71, died Thursday evening in an Asheville Hospital after a brief illness.
He was a retired farmer and a life long resident of Buncombe County, North Carolina.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian McClure Emory; seven daughters, Wilma Jarvis of Mars Hill, Wruble Emory Bagwell of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Shirley Emory Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee, Elaine Emory Revis of San Antonia, Texas, Sara Louise Emory Robertson of Asheville, Betty Emory Fox of Weaverville, Judy Emory Wright of Weaverville and one son, Wilburn Leonard "Jr." Emory of Weaverville; two sisters, Esta Emory Deaver of Asheville and Pansy Emory Garrison of Weaverville; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held Sunday at 2pm, Ivy Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Willard Coffey and Rev. Troy Edwards officiating.
Burial will follow at Ivy Hill Cemetery, Buncombe County, North Carolina.
