Nettie Lou Collett Emory, daughter of Robert Collett and Mattie McGoldrick Collett. May 7, 1921, Grainger County, Tennessee, Married Benjamin Franklin "Ben" Emory, Son of John Pickney Emory and Harriett Keziah "Kessie" Buckner Emory.

Parents of 8 children

Nettie Lou Collette Emory, 76. pf Route 2, Weaverville, died Sunday at her home after an extended illness.

A native of Grainger County, Tennessee, she had lived in Weaverville for 40 years. She was the wife of the late Ben Emory' and the daughter of the late Robert Collett and Mattie McGoldrick Collett.

Surviving are three daughters' Opal Emory Styles of Detroit, Michigan, Bobby Jean Emory Bryan of Gastonia and Harriet Emory King of Weaverville; three sons, J. R. Emory of Asheville, Bill Emory of Swannanoa, and Charles Emory of Weaverville; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00am at Ivy Hill Baptist Church of which she was a member. Rev. Worth Emory and Lloyd Ponder will officiate.

Burial will follow at Ivy Hill Cemetery, Buncombe County, North Carolina.
