Earl Pettis
Earl C. Pettis, 88, of 1919 Bellevue Ave., died Wednesday at his daughter's home.
He was born in Fairchild. and was a lifetime area resident. He married Emma Monroe April 14, 1923, at Augusta. He was employed at Uniroyal, retiring in 1966.
Survivors include a daughter, Marcella (Jack) Pohl of Eau Claire; a sister, Marie Volse of Culver City, Calif.; a brother, Juel Pettis of Fairchild; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Chapel Heights United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Donald Pardun officiating. Burial will be in Fairchild Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Chapel and for an hour prior to services at the church.
