Earl Lee Ball, 65, Athens, died Friday at 5 p.m. at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
A funeral was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Turner officiating and burial in Athens City Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Kilgore Ball; two daughters, Ruth Helen (Ball) Pepper and Maurice Odell (Ball) Brewer; two sons, Earl Wesley Ball and LaDon Lee Ball; four brothers, David Ball, Luther Ball, Noel Ball, and Dewey Ball; five sisters, Sue (Ball) Hagood, Ruby (Ball) Barker, Reba (Ball) Murrah, Betty (Ball) Hooie, and Alma (Ball) Brooks; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Mr. Ball was the son of Phillip Walter Ball and Addie Hill (Flanagan) Ball.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rachel (McGlocklin) Ball and a daughter, Rose Nell Ball.
