Betty Maude Hooie of Athens died Monday at her residence. She was 81.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Athens Chapel of Spry Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
She was the daughter of Phillip Walter Ball and Addie Hill (Flanagan) Ball.
Wife of Robert Cornelius Hooie. They married July 4, 1942, Athens, Limestone Co, AL.
He preceded her in death in 1979.
Survivors include her two sons, Robert Barry Hooie and Clayburn Phillip Hooie; sister, Ruby Barker; grandchildren, J. P. Hooie, Sean Hooie, Patrick R. Hooie, Summer Hooie, Erik A. Hooie, Trevor Hooie, Amanda N. Hooie; and 5 great-grandchildren.
