The funeral for Ruth Helen Ball Pepper Simpson, 87, of Franklin, TN, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Spry Funeral Home. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Mrs. Simpson died Friday, March 20, 2009, in Franklin. She was born September 13, 1921 in Limestone County to Earl and Rachel Ball.
She was a member of the Southern Hill Church of Christ in Franklin. Mrs. Simpson retired from Caterpillar Tractor in Aurora, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Neil S. Pepper and Norval Simpson.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Schantz and husband Russell of Franklin; sons, Larry Pepper of Sandwich, IL, and Phillip Pepper of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Wesley Ball and Don Ball, both of Athens; sister, Maurice Brewer of Athens; grandchildren, Vicki Young and husband Jason of Freemon, CA, Shelly Pepper of N. Aurora, IL, Laura Donavon and husband Ron of Oswego, IL, and Stacey Stadler of Sandwich, IL; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Ball, Don Ball, Larry Pepper, Phillip Pepper, Allen Harrison and Sammy Keyes.
