Funeral of Izzie Lois Kilgore Ball, 90, of Athens, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, at Spry Funeral Home with Eugene Brittnell officiating. Burial will be in the Athens City Cemetery.
Mrs. Ball died Saturday, January 27, 2007, at the Athens Convalescent Center. Mrs. Ball was born October 16, 1916, in Madison County. She was a member of the Hays Mill Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lee Ball.
She is survived by two sons, Earl Wesley Ball and his wife, Mary Jo, LaDon Lee Ball and his wife, Joan, all of Athens; two step-daughters, Ruth Helen (Ball) Pepper Simpson of Franklin, TN, and Maurice Odell (Ball) Brewer of Athens; two brothers, Jim Walter Kilgore of New Hope, Donald Ray (Peewee) Kilgore of Chicago, IL; one sister, Rosa Nell (Kilgore) Leak of New Hope; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Travis Ball, Douglas Ball, Mark Ball, Stacy Wallace, Paul Hasting, and Harold King.
Lois was the daughter of Izzie Marion Kilgore and Rosa Lee (Dunn) Kilgore.
Lois and Earl Lee Ball were married on 27 May 1939 in Florence, Lauderdale Co, AL.
