Mrs. Emily May Green, 84, of New Hope, died Monday at a Decatur nursing home.
The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home with Terry Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, George Green; four daughters, Audrey May (Green) Glover Martin of Owens Cross Roads, Vera Gaylene (Green) McElroy of California and Rose Marie (Green) McCullough and Brenda Joyce (Green) Esslinger, both of New Hope; a son, Randy George Green of Decatur; four brothers, Jim Walter Kilgore of New Hope, Colyn Dunn Kilgore of Memphis, TN, and William Walker "Jack" Kilgore and Donald Ray "Peewee" Kilgore, both of Illinois; three sisters, Audrey Elizabeth (Kilgore) Pendergrass of Brownsboro, Rosa Nell (Kilgore) Leak of New Hope and Izzie Lois (Kilgore) Ball of Athens; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Izzie Kilgore and Rosa Lee (Dunn) Kilgore, two daughters, Virginia Ann (Green) Goodspeed and Mary Elizabeth Green; three brothers, James Daniel "J.D." Kilgore, Marion Izzie Kilgore, Jr, and Joe Randolph Kilgore; and two sisters, Edna Violet (Kilgore) Ledbetter Dilworth and Ruby Constance Kilgore.
Emily May Kilgore and George Green were married September 21, 1930, Mt. Shade, Marshall Co, AL.
