George E. Sampson 71, of Massilon, Ohio formerly of Orma, Calhoun County, died Monday January 23, 1989, in a Canton hospital after a long illness.

He was a native of Richwood, a veteran of World War II and a retired timberman.

Surviving: mother, Gracie Sampson of Massillon; daughters, Margaret McClain and Jean Lantz, both of Massilon, Carol Majorias of Elyria, Lois Fink of North Canton; son, Paul of Orma; brothers, Elmer of Spencer, Russell of Reedy, Virgil, Robert and Harold, all of
Arnoldsburg, Cecil of Massillon; sisters, Stella Tanner of Massillon, Lorain Stanley of Brecksville, Mary Starcher of Cleveland; nine
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Orma United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Orma Cemetery.

The Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg is in charge of arrangements.
