Surviving are his wife, Nellie G. Booher Sampson; one daughter, Wanetta Rogers;
three sons, Delmar, Wesley and George Sampson; three sisters, Stella Tanner,
Mary Starcher and Lorine Stanley; five brothers, Elmer, Virgil, Robert, Harold
and Russell Sampson; 30 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Billy and Bernard Sampson; one sister,
Lida Butler; and three brothers, George, Roscoe and Andy Sampson.
