Virgil W. Sampson, 76, of Arnoldsburg, WV, died Wednesday, January 17th. at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division.
Born in Calhoun County, he was the son of the late William and Gracia Jackson Sampson. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a retired farmer.
Surviving Mr. Sampson are four brothers, Elmer Sampson of Spencer, WV, Russell, Harold and Robert Sampson all of Arnoldsburg. Three sisters, Stella Tanner and Mary Hill both of Massillon, Ohio and Loraine Stanley of Streetsboro, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Carl Marks will officiate. Interment will be in the Orma Cemetery, Orma, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the services on Monday.
