Jacob N. Lasher, formerly of Adrian R.D. 1, died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. C.M. Hooks, Kittanning R.D. 3, at 4:15 o'clock this morning, November 13, 1946, following a short illness. He was aged 86 years, six months and 12 days. A son of Nicholas and Margaret (Toy) Lasher, he was born in Armstrong County where he spent the major part of his life time as a school teacher. Mr. Lasher was a long-time member of the Limestone Church of God, Adrian. He leaves the following children: I.D. Lasher of Adrian R.D., Mrs. S.H. Croyle of Kittanning R.D. 3, Mrs. J.C. Heginbotham of Clairton, Mrs. C. M. Hooks of Kittanning R.D. 3, Mrs. A.C. Roofner of Manorville, S.N. Lasher of Phillipston, and Robert Lasher of Kittanning; a step-daughter, Mrs. Fred Bowser of Kittanning R.D. 3; 20 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. The following sisters and brothers also survive: Mrs. R.B. Bowser of Indiana, Mrs. A.R. Edwards of Vandergrift, Mrs. Homer McCoy of Wooster, Ohio, Mrs. W. H. Stivison of Cleveland, Ohio, J.J. Lasher of Kittanning, and L.L. Lasher of Adrian R.D. 1. Friends will be received in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hooks until Saturday afternoon when the body will be taken to the Limestone Church of God Adrian, for funeral services at 2:30 o'clock. His pastor, Rev. J.L. Hull, will officiate. Burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery. The Snyder funeral home, Cowansville, is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Lasher who was retired & a widower, was born June 1, 1860 in Pennsylvania to son of Nicholas Lasher and Margaret Toy. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Walter G. Snyder, undertaker, Cowansville, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. Burial was made on Saturday, November 16, 1946 in Adrian, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. Information was provided by Mrs. C. M. Hooks.
