Scott N. Lasher, 61, Rimersburg, died Sunday March, 23, 1958 at 8:55 p.m. in Butler C. Memorial Hospital. The Railroad worker was born in Reesedale on June 4, 1896 the son of the late Jacob & Amanda (Neale) Lasher. His first wife Fernie Croyle died in 1924 during childbirth; his 2nd wife Julia Edwards died in 1930 during childbirth (yes both) Surviving are one son, Ivan, and one daughter, Mrs. Frank Vogenberger, two brothers, Robert and Ira D., four sisters Mrs. Grace Higgenbotham, Mrs. Blanch Ruffner, Mrs. Mable Hooks, Mrs. Nora Croyle. Service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday from the Limestone Church of God in Adrian. Burial to follow in the church Cemetery, Adrian. McNaughton-McKinney Funeral Home in charge or arrangements.

Scott N. Lasher, 61, of Rimersburg RD 2 died Sunday (March 23 1958) at 8:55 p.m. in the Butler County Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness. The railroad worker was born in Reesedale, Armstrong County June 4, 1896, a son of the late Jacob and Amanda (Neale) Lasher. He lived in the Reesedale area until 1930 when he moved to Phillipston. He belonged to the Brotherhood of Railroad Maintenance and Way Employees. He was a social member of the Rimersburg Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. His first wife, Fernie Croyle of Reesedale died in 1924 during childbirth; his second wife, Julia Edwards, also of Reesedale, died in 1930 during childbirth. Survivors include a son, Ivan of Rimersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Vogenberger of Butler; two brothers. Robert of Kittanning and Ira D. of Adrian: four sisters, Mrs. Grace Hegginbotham of Kittanning, Mrs. Mabel Hooks of Kittanning RD 3, Mrs. Nora Croyle of Kittanning RD 5 and Mrs. Blanche Ruffner of Manorville. Friends are being received at the McNaughton-McKinney funeral home in East Brady until noon Wednesday and from 1:30 until time of services 2:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Limestone Church of God in Adrian. Rev. Victor Redfoot, pastor of the East Brady Methodist Church, will officiate with burial following in the church cemetery at Adrian.

Born in Reesedale, Armstrong County, June 4, 1896, he was a son of Jacob and Amanda Neale Lasher. He was employed as a section worker by the Pennsylvania Railroad, and was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance and Ways Employees. He was a social member of the Rimersburg Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are a son, Ivan Lasher of Rimersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Dolores) Loganburger of Butler; two brothers, Robert Lasher of Kittanning and Ira D. Lasher of Adrian, and four sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Grace) Heginbotham of Kittanning R.D., Mrs. Chambers (Mabel) Hooks of Kittanning R.D., Mrs.; Nora (Sam) Coyle of Kittanning R.D. 5 and Mrs. A. C. (Blanche) Ruffner of Manorville. LASHER--Friends of Scott Neal Lasher of Phillipston, Rimersburg, R.D. 2 who died Sunday, March 23, 1958, will be received at the McNaughton - Kinney Funeral Home, East Brady, until noon Wednesday, and at the Limestone Church of God, Adrian, from 1:30 p.m. until time of services. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday from the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements by McNaughton - Kinney.

Scott Neal Lasher, aged 62, of Rimersburg RD #2 in Phillipston, Brady Township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania died at 7:50 p.m. on Sunday March 23, 1958 at the Butler County memorial Hospital in Butler Township, where he had been an inpatient for 12 days. He had been ill for a year and a half. Mr. Lasher, a PRR Section Worker by trade was born in Reesedale, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, the son of Jacob Lasher and Amanda Neale. He is survived by his wife Julia (Edwards) Lasher. Funeral arrangements were under the care of funeral director, Wayne E. McNaughton of East Brady, Pennsylvania. Interment was made on Wednesday March 26, 1958 in Limestone Church Cemetery in Washington Township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.
