Mrs. C. M. (Mabel) Lasher Hooks, 80, of Kittanning RD 3 was pronounced dead on arrival at 12:20 a.m. today in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack. Mrs. Hooks was a member of the Limestone Church of God at Adrian and women's society of that church. Born Mar. 5, 1892 in Washington Township, she was a daughter of Jacob N. and Amanda (Neale) Lasher. Surviving are her husband, C. M. Hooks; two sons, Morris and James both of Kittanning RD 3; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Hooks of Kittanning RD 3, Mrs. Joseph (Janet) Bosco of Rural Valley; a sister, Mrs. Nora Croyle of Kittanning RD 6; a brother, Robert Leasure of Kittanning; five grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased. Hooks – Friends of Mrs. C. M. (Mabel) Lasher Hooks, who died June 27 1972, will be received at the Walter G. Snyder Funeral Home, Cowansville. Visitation hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Gerald Chelton, her church pastor. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Snyder.
