Mrs. Jane Dee Edward, aged 77, formerly of Vandergrift, died at 11:50 o'clock last night in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul J. Hetrick of 240 Third street. Born in Armstrong county, a daughter of Nicholas & Margaret Toy Lasher, Mrs. Edward had been a resident of Vandergrift for 35 years before coming to Butler two years ago. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Paul J. Hetrich of Butler; a son, Homer R. Edward of New Bethlehem; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Bowser of Indiana; Mrs. Molly McCoy of Wooster, O., and Mrs. Margaret Stivason of Cleveland, O.; two brothers, J.J. Lasher of Kittanning, and Lewis Lasher of Adrian; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Edward was a member of the Vandergrift Methodist church.  Friends will be received at Thompson's, East North at McKean streets, from 7 until 9 o'clock tonight; and from 2 until 5 o'clock and from 7 until 9 o'clock tomorrow. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the funeral home, with the Rev. W. Scott McMunn, pastor of the Second United Presbyterian church officiating.  Burial will be in the Limestone cemetery, Armstrong county.

Mrs. Edwards a homemaker & widow, was born November 7, 1872 in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania the daughter of Nicholas Lasher and Margaret Toy. Funeral arrangements were in charge of R. Glenn Thompson, funeral director, Butler, Pennsylvania. Burial was made on Wednesday February 22, 1950 at Limestone Cemetery, in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. Information was provided by Mrs. Paul Hetrick of Butler, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
