Find A Grave ID

My husband's and my love for Find-A-Grave began when we noticed the headstone of a dear and close relative memorialized. The creator Cliff Carson offered to transfer the site to us, and we felt a very heartfelt gratitude for that opportunity and responsibility. Since then the generosity of top contributor Islington, and volunteer JV who filled our photo requests and many other Find A Grave contributors has kept us inspired.

Having been a 'grave walker' all my life, my interest in cemeteries was passed down to me from my mother, whose father and grandfather were sextons. My mother grew up with a cemetery as her playground and looked out onto headstones at night when she went to sleep. She can still recite the names on headstones that she could see from her bedroom window.

If you would like a memorial transferred please use the Edit tab, and the 'Suggest any other correction or addition' link to request the transfer - unless you need multiple transfers - in that case just send me the memorial numbers. I am not related to most of the memorials that I have added, and it is not about numbers for me, I love the memorials to go to someone who will look after them.

Have a lovely day :-)
