I specialize in Scottish Family History in the counties of Angus, Ayrshire, Argyll & Bute and Aberdeen City. Please feel free to contact me for assistance.

My ancestors came from Brechin, Fetteresso, Auchmithe and Arbroath as well as surrounding Angus and Aberdeenshire towns. My wife's parents were born in Kilmarnock and her entire lineage is Scottish. Several of my ancestors are buried in Arbroath Abbey, mainly my 2nd Great Grandfather and Grandmother, as well as my 3rd great grandparents and their infant children. I also have many ancestors buried in St. Vigeans including my 3rd, 6th and 7th Great Grandparents.

Special thanks to James and Muriel Adam, Edinburgh, for their help and assistance.

Also, thanks to Harold Ralston who assisted me with the memorial entries for Kintyre, and guidance.

When requesting birth and death edits, please be prepared to show documentation. Scottish birth, marriage and death records can be found on Scotland's People (National Records of Scotland stored at the New Register House in Edinburgh). Burial records, contrary to popular belief can be found on Scotland's People for the years 1855-1859. Scottish burial records can also be found at Deceased Online. Family Search is also another venue for Scottish birth records but records are not always accurate and birth records are not available after 1890.
