Rosemary (Allie) Young, 94, passed away peacefully at 12:26 AM Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at White Oak Health Campus of Monticello.

She was born February 7, 1924 in Boyleston Twsp., IN (Clinton County) to the late Bascom R. and Lillian I. (Houck) Allie. Rosemary attended Wolcott High School.

Her marriage was to James E. Young on November 22, 1941 in Delphi; he preceded her in death on October 6, 1997.

Rosemary was a parishioner of the Brookston United Methodist Church, member of the Brookston Rebekah Lodge, American Legion Women's Auxiliary, and Daughters of the American Revolution. While raising 5 children, she also worked many years at the Brookston IGA. In her spare time, Rosemary enjoyed spending her time crocheting, gardening, and time with family and friends.

Surviving are her children, Sharon (husband: Jerry) Hiner of Brookston, Deb Mikels of Brookston, Vickie Richardson of Brookston, and Stanley Young of Brookston. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband are a daughter, Connie Weston; granddaughter, Nicole Hamilton; great-great-grandson, Isaac Michael Lee; son-in-law, Mick Mikels; siblings, Helen Critser, Edith Dellinger, Ethel Lucas, Leone Owen, Irene Oberlander, Frances Logan, Raymond Allie, and Bobby Allie.

Friends may call from 1-5 PM (EST) Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Funeral Service 11 AM (EST) Monday, June 18, 2018 also at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home. Pastor Devin Cook of Brookston United Methodist Church and Rev. Dr. Lelan McReynolds to officiate. Interment to follow in Brookston IOOF Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Rosemary's name to the Brookston United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
