Edith Alice Dellinger, 86, Monticello, died Monday, Dec. 20, at St. Vincent's Hostpial, Indianpolis.
She was born June 11, 1913, to Bascom and Lillian Houk Allie, in Iowa. She was married July 30, 1936, to David L. Dellinger. He survives.
She attended Rolling Prairie High School and operated a resaurant in Wolcott for several years. She lived in Wolcott from 1933-1949 and then moved to Monticello. She was a member of Monticello Christian Church.
She is survived by sons, Marvin Dellinger of Salona Beach, Calif., Robert Dellinger of Oceanside, Calif.; and David Dellinger of Janesville, Ga.; daughters, Cindy Rabot of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Donna Johnson of Fairfield, Calif.; sisters, Irene Oberlander, Wolcott and Rosemary Young, Brookston; brother, Raymond Allie, Rensselaer, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters.
Private graveside service was Thursday at West Point Cemetery, Wolcott, wiith the Rev. Jim Childrss officiating.
Foster Funeral Home, Wolcott, was in charge of arrangements.

WOLCOTT-David L. Dellinger, 96, of Monticello, formerly of Wolcott, died at 12:13 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at White County Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health since heart surgery last week.
Born March 11, 1910, to the late Cloyd L. and Anna C. Lorentz Dellinger in White County, he attended Seafield and Wolcott Schools.
His marriage was to Edith A. Allie o July 30, 1926 in Wolcott. She preceded him in death o Dec. 20, 1999.
Mr. Dellinger was a drainage contractor for most of his working years. He also owned and operated a restaurant in Wolcott for several years and had served as surveyor for White County.
He enjoyed raising orchids in his greenhouse and listening to music.
Surviving are three sons, Marvin Dellinger (wife: Elaine) of Saolana Beach, Calif., Robert Dellinger (wife: Kate) of Oceanside, Calif., and David Dellinger of Ganesville, Ga.; and two daughters, Donna Johnson of Fairfied, Calif. and Cindy Rabot (husband: Pat) of Scottsdale, Ariz.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today, May 25, 2006, at Foster-Clapper Funeral Home, Wolcott. Service there 10 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2006. Interment West Point Cemetery near Seafield. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are 2 sisters, Hazel Dellinger and Claudine Treece.
