Leo Earle Nolan died at his home in Inglewood, CA on July 3 1971. He was a son of William and Bridget (Noonan) Nolan. Services were conducted July 7, 1971 at the Colonial Chapel of McCormick Mortuary. Interment was in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Section 3104, Lot 1.
Leo Earle Nolan first married Loretta Bridget Mettille on February 11, 1918 at St. Paul's Church in Odell, IL.
This was the second marriage for Loretta, having married Jeremiah F. Turner on September 9, 1914 in Odell. Jeremiah died on June 30, 1915. Loretta had one son by Jeremiah, Joseph Turner who was born in May 1917 and died September 28, 1935 from injuries suffered in an an auto accident in Channahon, IL.
Leo Earle & Loretta Mettille Turner Nolan had two children, one boy and one girl. In a 1998 telephone conversation with Francis Nolan, Leo's daughter mentioned that Loretta had given birth to twin boys while they were farming a Mettille farm in Morris, Manitoba, Canada about 1918. The twins died at birth. Leo and Loretta separated about 1927. Loretta died in Joliet, IL in June 1960.
Leo next married Dorothy Schoffstall on June 5, 1931 in Terre Haute, Indiana. They had one son, Ronald Eugene Nolan, born January 19, 1933 and died in Peoria Illinois on November 23, 2001. Leo and Dorothy were later divorced.
Leo married a third time to Eleeca J. Todd of Pinckneyville, IL in 1957 (uncertain of location). Eleeca had been married to James E. Wilson who died in 1912. Eleeca had a daughter by James Wilson. Eleeca and Leo remained married until Leo's death in 1971. They had no children.
