"Final Rites for William Nolan
Services for William Nolan who died Thursday morning in the home of his sister, Mrs. Margaret Downey, 1601 S. Bloomington St., were held Monday morning at 10 o'clock from the Solon funeral home where prayers were said by Rev. Ralph Lane, pastor of Immaculate Conception church. Graveside rites in St. Paul's cemetery were conducted by Rev. James F. Garrahan, pastor of St. Paul's in Odell.
Pallbearers were Howard and Russell Corcoran, Francis Nolan, Leo Cuttill, Clair Farrell and Cyril Downey, all nephews.
Relatives and friends were present from Inglewood, Calif., Kenosha, Wis., Chicago, Hobart, Ind., Dwight, Odell, Fairbury, Joliet, Pontiac and Ransom."

William Grover Nolan was a farmer all his life. While farming his dad's property in Pipestone, MN, he met and married Gertrude Noteboom on October 22, 1912 and they had three children. Gertrude & William divorced about 1948.
