From the "The Daily Leader," Pontiac, IL, Monday, December 9, 1946, page 5:
"Mrs. Bridget Nolan
Mrs. Bridget Nolan, 88, 891 North Mill St. died at 11:45 A.M. yesterday at St. James Hospital here. She had been ill several months.
Funeral services will be at 9:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas E. Shea will officiate. Rosary will be said at 8:00 P.M. tomorrow at the Raleigh J. Harris funeral home. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery at Odell.
She was born November 17, 1858 at LaSalle, daughter of John and Ellen (Falvey) Noonan. She and William Nolan were married Feb. 18, 1878 (sic - Marriage Certificate says Feb. 27, 1878 in Odell) in Dwight. Her husband died April 13, 1918. She lived in Sunbury township after her marriage and came to Pontiac six years ago.
Survivors are 12 sons and daughters: Mrs. Mary Erschen and John Nolan, Pontiac; Mrs. Catharine Farrell, Dwight; Mrs. Margaret Downey, Mrs. Nora Cuttill, William Nolan and James Nolan, all of Odell; Mrs. Elizabeth Corcoran, Ransom; Edward Nolan, Streator; Mrs. Julia Condon, Chicago; Leo Nolan, Elgin; Mrs. Marcella Andreas, Lyman, Neb. There are 51 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren.
Two children (NOTE: These were Isabella and Joseph), one sister, two brothers, three step-brothers and four step-sisters (NOTE: The seven step-siblings were the seven children of Ellen Falvey and John Fitzgerald) preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Mary Church and the Altar and Rosary Society."
