John Patrick Nolan died at 6:55 p.m. on April 30, 1978 at St. James Hospital. He had been ill for six months and seriously ill one week prior to his death at age 94.
Burial was on May 3, 1978 in St. Paul's Cemetery in Odell.
John Nolan was born March 4, 1884, in Sunbury Township, the fourth child and first son of William and Bridget (Noonan) Nolan. He married Louise Erschen in Odell on Feb. 6, 1907.
Mr. Nolan had been a construction worker for the H. J. Eppel Co. for many years. John & Louise had 8 children, 2 boys and 6 girls; one of the girls died at birth and another died from the Spanish flu epidemic on October 7, 1918 at age 15 months.
