According to the 1917 issue of the "Prairie Farmer's Reliable Directory of Farmers and Breeders Livingston County," William Nolan, Sr. (Wife Bridget Noonan) owned 240 acres of land in Sunbury Township, Section 25. William had been a resident of Livingston County since 1874 and 13 children were listed. William & Bridget actually had 14 children, but Isabelle died shortly after birth.
From the "The Pontiac Leader," Saturday, April 13, 1918, page 6, in the section called "Daily Chronicle of Odell News": "William Nolan died last evening at his home northwest of town. Funeral arrangements have not been made."
From the "The Pontiac Leader," Monday, April 15, 1918, page 8, in the section called "Daily Chronicle of Odell News": "The funeral services of William Nolan will be held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the St. Paul's Church."

NOTE: Birth dates were unknown and were of little importance for many emigrants from Ireland. Certainly, this was true of my grandfather, William Nolan. The official Irish church record states that William was baptized on August 30, 1850 in Lacken, County Tipperary. William stated that he was 24 years of age when he married Bridget Noonan on February 27, 1878 (he was nearing 28 according to his baptismal record). My dad used to point out to me that nearly all the Irish immigrant farmers in Livingston County, IL were born on March 17th (St. Patrick's Day) in whatever year they picked. My grandfather was no different. He chose March 17, 1852 as his birth date. This is the date on his death certificate. As to the 1866 death date on his cemetery stone, I believe that the monument company, likely Irish, confused William's age at death (66) as opposed to his choice of 1852. In memory of my grandfather, I have chosen to use the birth date that he used. If you are confused by this paragraph, then you are surely not Irish! Francis Nolan
