The youngest child of Charles Zachariah and Alice Siddie Moore Bryant. Evelyn was born and raised in Milan. She grew up with 6 siblings and had 3 who died as babies. Named for her aunt, Ida S. Moore Blankenship.
On 5 Mar 1927, she married James Wallace "Nick" Nichols in Dyer Co., TN. They lived for a while in Idabel, McCurtain Co., Oklahoma, then in Mineola, Texas, where Nick had a store. They later moved to Clarksville, TX, around the late 1930's and that's where they lived the remainder of their lives. Evelyn was the mother of a daughter who did not live very long and 3 boys. Her 6 siblings are:
