Marie Christine Breske, age 74, Eland, town of Elderon, died Wednesday, February 6, 1985 at her home.

She was born May 21, 1910 in Eland, the daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Hoks) Verkuilen.

On February 12, 1929 Marie was united in marriage to John Breske in the town of Norrie. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1943.

Survivors include three sons, John (Arla) Breske, Wausau, Roger Breske, Eland and Daniel Breske, Eau Claire; two daughters, Delores (Thomas) Hubert, Wausau and Doris (Arthur) Schoepke, Wausau; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Henry Verkuilen, Appleton.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, Leslie and Melvin Verkuilen and four sisters, Rose Schrieber, Agnes VanderKooy, Irma Radke and Cecelia Ploeger.

Funeral services were held February 9, 1985 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Wittenberg. The Rev. Claude Zabinski, OFM officiated. Interment was in St. Philomena Catholic Cemetery, town of Norrie.
