Agnes Mary VanderKooy, age 59, town of Elderon, died September 30, 1962 at her home.

She was born June 6, 1903 in the town of Elderon, the daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Hoks) Verkuilen.

On June 12, 1923 Agnes was united in marriage to Fred VanderKooy. He survives.

In addition to her husband, survivors include six children, Elaine (Frank) Schairer, Birnamwood, Harley VanderKooy, Milwaukee, Joyce (Bernard) Buss, Eland, Joseph VanderKooy, Milwaukee, Joan (Kenneth) Morien and Mary Ann (LaVerne) Morien, all of Wausau; 13 grandchildren; five brothers, Melvin (Helen) Verkuilen, Elmer (Genevieve) Verkuilen, both of Hatley, Edward Verkuilen, Menasha, Leslie (Hattie) Verkuilen, Eland and Henry Verkuilen, Appleton; four sisters, Rose (John) Schrieber, Dykesville, Marie Breske, Eland, Cecelia (Gilbert) Ploeger, Eland and Irma Radke, Wausau.

Funeral services were held October 3, 1962 at St. William Catholic Church, Eland. Fr. Jerome Watry officiated. Interment was in St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood.
