Richard Blankenstein was the son of Gottfried Friedrich August "Fred" Blankenstein and Marie Dorothea Elisabeth Friedrichs.
Richard was baptized September 22, 1887, at his parents' home by the pastor of the Perry German Methodist Church in Perry, Falls County, Texas.
Richard married Ella Gabriella Bayer on Dec. 16, 1911, in Waco, Tx.
They were the parents of two children, and Richard raised Ella's son from her first marriage.

BLANKENSTEIN

RICHARD J. BLANKENSTEIN, 90, 809 Lakewood Terrace, Granbury. Passed away late Saturday in Ft. Worth hospital; Ft. Worth resident 25 years. Member Meadowbrook Methodist Church. Survivors: Son, W. R. Miller, Taylor; daughter, Ione Brown, Granbury; 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Seigfried Blankenstein, Ft. Worth; sisters, Mrs. Freda Bode, Mrs. Alma Banik both of Dayton.
Services 1 p.m. Tuesday, Moore Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Morgan Garrett officiating. Interment Rose Hill Cemetery. Family will be receiving friends at 4504 Blue Lake Ct. Arrangements Hugh H. Moore & Sons, 1219 N. Davis, Arlington.

Richard Blankenstein was preceded in death by his parents, Gottfried Blankenstein and Marie Friedrichs Blankenstein; his wife, Ella Bayer Blankenstein in 1974; his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Pollard Blankenstein in 1951; his grandson, Robert Ray Blankenstein in 1951; his brothers, Herman, Paul, and Freddie Blankenstein; and his sisters, Mamie Lehmann, Rose Blankenstein, and Elsie Forkel.
