Hays Richard Ace, 82, of Chicora R.D. 1, died Saturday [19 Aug 1961] at 10:30 a.m. in the Butler County Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. He was a member of the Karns City Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Katherine Ace, seven daughters, Mrs. Howard (Myrtle) Claypool of Chicora R. D. 2, Mrs. Raymond (Gertrude) Ealy of Karns City R. D. 1, Mrs. William (Bertha) Stewart of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. William (Mabel) Claypool of Petrolia R. D. 1, Mrs. Mark (Marie) Timblin of Parker; Mrs. George (Dorothy) Merchant of Petrolia, and Mrs. Blakney (Jean) Scott of Sneads Ferry, N.C.; six sons, Roy Ace of Westfield, N.Y., Albert of Akron, Ohio, John, Richard, Leonard and Charles Ace, all of Chicora; a half-brother, Floyd Ace of Callensburg; 48 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren.

Friend s of Hays Richard Ace of Chicora R. D. 1, who died Saturday, August 19, 1961, will be received at the Hepler Funeral Home, Petrolia, from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday [12 Aug 1961]. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday [22 Aug 1961] from the funeral home, with the Rev. Cutis A. Sandrock, pastor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sugar Creek, officiating. Burial will be in the Bear Creek cemetery. Arrangements by Hepler.
