Mrs. Gertrude S. [Stella] Ealy, 60, of Hooker, Karns City R.D. 1, died at Butler County Memorial Hospital yesterday, after a month's illness. Born Oct. 25, 1907, she was the daughter of Hays and Katherine Lowers Ace. Mrs. Ealy was a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church of Hooker. Surviving are her husband, Raymond H. Ealy; three sons, Dale Ealy of New Castle, Richard of Hooker and Glenn of Chicora, three daughters, Mrs. James (Helen) Jamison of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Victor (Alene) Thompson of Hooker, and Mrs. Robert (Alice) Scott of Grove City R.D. 4; 18 grandchildren; six brothers, Roy Ace of Westfield, N.Y., Albert of Akron, Ohio, John of Chicora R.D. 3, Richard and Leonard, both of Chicora R.D., and Charles of Chicora R.D. 1; sis sisters, Mrs. Howard (Myrtle) Claypoole of Chicora R.S. 2, Mrs. William (Bertha) Stewart of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. William (Babel) Claypoole of Petrolia, Mrs. Mark (Marie) Timblin of Parker, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Merchant of Petrolia, and Mrs. Blakney (Lois Jean) Scott of Karns City; and several nieces and nephews. A son and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
EALY – Friends of Mrs. Gertrude S. [Stella] Ealy of Hooker, Karns City R.D. 1, who died Thursday, Dec. 21, 1967, will be received at the Vensel Funeral Home, Chicora, from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and at the church for an hour before the service. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from Concord United Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. John David Ifft, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements by Vensel.
