Glenn H. “Cy” Ealy, 82, of Chicora, went to be with his Lord and Savior Monday morning, September 16, 2019 at Parker Personal Care Home while in the company of his loving wife.

Born in Concord Twp., Butler County on May 27, 1937, Glenn was the son of the late Raymond H. and Gertrude Ace Ealy.

Cy was a 1955 graduate of Concord High School. He retired from INDSPEC in Petrolia in 1999 following 35 years of service.

Cy was a long time active member of St. John’s Reformed Church in Chicora. He served on the church’s consistory, as Deacon and Elder, for over 30 years. He and his wife served as youth leaders. He was also the Sunday School Superintendent and captain of the Bus Ministry. Most recently Cy and his wife had been attending the Chicora Alliance Church. In the past he had volunteered with both the North Washington Volunteer Fire Company and the Rodeo. He enjoyed playing computer games, reading, and being with his family. He was noted for his quick sense of humor.

Cy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara A. Andre Ealy. The couple was married on August 17, 1962 at St. John’s Reformed Church in Chicora by Pastor Paul Hornung. Also surviving are four sons, Phillip G. Ealy and his wife, Linda, of Lincoln, Delaware, Timothy E. Ealy and his wife, Marcy, of Chicora, Daniel P. Ealy and his wife, Jill, of Chicora, and Joel D. Ealy of Hellertown; ten grandchildren, Jeffrey Ealy and his wife, Sarah, Janel Wildermuth and her husband, Eric, Melinda Peters and her husband, Ben, Brianna Ealy, Natalie Bandura and her husband, Brady, Nathan Ealy, Benjamin Ealy, Camden Ealy, Phoebe Ealy, and Skye Ealy; one great grandchild, Braydon; a sister, Alice “Katie” Scott and her husband, Bob, of Grove City; a sister-in-law, Dorine Young of Butler, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins.

In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his granddaughter Miriam Joy Ealy; his sisters, Helen Jamison, and Alene Thompson; his brothers, Paul, Dale, and Dick Ealy; nieces, nephews, as well as a number of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Friday. Additional visitation will be held Saturday from 10 - 11 a.m. where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home with Cy’s son, Rev. Phillip Ealy, pastor of Lincoln United Methodist Church and Rev. Mark Wallace, pastor of Chicora Alliance Church, co-officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Hooker.
