Phalby Sara Cooper was one of nine children born to George Cooper and Rachael Jackson. She and her sisters and brothers grew up in Giddings. Phalby, Precilla, Posey, Genora, Arline, Rebecca, Mary, John, and Moses grew up on a peanut farm in Lee County. In 1906 she married James (Jim) Earl Alberts, twelve children were born to this union. Their children were born and raised in Lee County, Texas. All of the children helped with the peanut farm. The Alberts' peanuts and peanut brittle was well known in all the surrounding communities. She was preceded in death by her husband James Earl (Jim), daughter Minerva, and her two sons James Earl Jr. and Morty (Buster). She spent the end of her life living at the home of her son, Henry Lee and his family. She leaves to mourn her passing, daughters Mary, Ursula (Urcie), and Priscilla (Sissy) and her sons, Chatman, Daniel (Dan), Moses, Amos, Fred, and Henry; and her sisters, brothers, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, neices, nephews, cousins, and friends.
