Ursula Lea Alberts was the third of twelve children born to James Earl Alberts and Phalby Sara Cooper. She like her sisters and brothers grew up on the large peanut farm owned by her parents. All the children helped work the peanut farm. Alberts' peanuts and peanut brittle were famous in the Central Texas area. In 1929 she married James Arthur Marshall. One son, Charlie Frank Marshall, was born to this union. This marriage ended in divorce in 1931. In 1932 she married Henton Crittendon; six children were born to this union. Henton Jr, Johnny, Forrest, Joseph, Gloria, and Thelma grew up in the same area of Texas as their parents. This marriage ended in divorce in 1950. In 1951 she married Lewis "Chowboy" Taylor in Lincoln Texas. They had no children and were divorced in 1956. On July 5, 1958 she remarried James Arthur Marshall. They were divorced on December 16, 1964. On June 16, 1965 she married David Scott. They were married for 15 years and divorced in 1980. She never married again. She passed away in Houston on May 28, 1989 at the home of her son. She was preceded in death by her son John, parents, James Earl and Phalby Sara Alberts; by her brothers Fred Odell, James Earl Jr, Chatman, Morty Buster, Dan, Henry, and her sisters Mary, Minerva, and Priscilla and her former husband Henton Crittendon. She is survived by her children Henton Floyd Jr, Forrest, Joseph, Charles Frank, Gloria, and Thelma; and her step-children Earl Lee, Delbert James, and Armand Earl; by her brothers Moses and Amos; neices, nephews, cousins, and friends.
